WhWhat a wonderful human being. ThThe world is a sadder place Wiwithout his presence.
I frequently LISTEN TO HARRY’S MUSIC INCLUDING TODAY. HARRY IS A MAN WHOSE INFLUENCE ON CULTURAL, HUMANITARIAN, JUSTICE & OF COURSE HIS INCREDIBLE MUSIC. HE CHANGED THE LIVES OF THOSE WHO LOVED HIS MUSIC, BOUGHT HIS ALBUMS, ATTENDED HIS CONCERTS ( THREE TIMES FOR ME ) AND CARRIED FORWARD HIS VISION FOR A BETTER WORLD. THANK YOU HARRY, MAY YOU REST IN PEACE. STEPHEN COURTS
I’m a huge fan of Mr. Chapin. I continue to 🎶 to his music. He was a hero of mine. His kindness, 💘 and contributions to his charity (American Hunger) were astounding! I knew THEN AND I know now, that Mr. Chapin worked his talents for the poor, needy Americans that were hungry. There should be NO HUNGRY People anywhere! Those are my FEELINGS. I’m 👎 in the position to help the hungry, as I too am poor. However I never go a day without food. These are my thoughts of Harry, just wanted to express them in his blog. Warmest regards, JILL-GAMBINO-Haworth
I’m A huge fan of MR. CHAPIN’s. I listen over and over again to all of HIS; comical, serious and sometimes sorrowful story songs. He was certainly one of a kind! His legacy lives on. I 💘 him he was truly a kind, warm, humanitarian.
We need more people like him in this WORld! in my State of Rhode Island our Governor, Gina Rohnmondo, recently announced in her State of The State address, that one of her 2019 goals in this year’s budget is to implement funds to give elementary school children (from K-8th grade, free breakfast and lunch. AT the Start of the school day. As more students would be in ATTENDANCE at this time.
WITH their bellies full they can concentrate on LEARNIng, thus ensuring our states future. WITH wars in the mid east still raging, global warming, illegal drugs bought, sold and some poor souls overdosing causing untimely deaths, There are good WOrks carrying on as well. I miss Harry CHAPIN and all he stood for, and will continue to listen to his music. His legacy LIVES on work at least one fan, that I know of…myself.
lives on through his music and my memory on his concerts! I was planning on attending one of his conerts, back in 1965 or ’67. But when I heard the tragic news of his death, I was so stricken with sadness, I simply cried my eyes out. I was so sorry THAT I had missed seeing him live on stage and not purchasing tickets . Instead I procrastinated and when I finally decided to spend my money and go see him in concert ( he charged such measly prices in those days, when he probably could have charged much more). He always would say he sold “stuff” at the END of his performance so the audience could purchase “Harry it Sucks” TEE shirts or other mementos . Warmest regards, JILLGAMBINO-HAWORTh
